Willie Riley

The Silverdale Village Players are taking part in a tribute to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Willie Riley.

Stories about Willie including a number of readings, the music of the 1920s and a couple of one act plays will be performed on Friday and Saturday 22nd and 23rd April in the Gaskell Hall, Silverdale.

Directing “The Lord’s Poor Brother", one of the two plays, is Lynn Peck, seen here talking (and promoting the event) to BBC Radio Lancashire’s John “Gilly” Gilmore live on his BBC Radio Lancashire show.

All are welcome.

Tickets are now on sale from the usual sources including the Post Office in the centre of Silverdale.
